Your Stages of Success
You will have your own personal goals and outcomes - During your initial phobia assessment call, you and your therapist will achieve clarity on your goals and desired outcomes.
Here is our typical map of progression:
STAGE 1 - Understanding your phobia
During the online course you will clearly understand the mechanism that is causing your panic and anxiety to exist. This will equip you with different perspectives from which you view your phobia and will start to release the grip it seemed to have over you before.
STAGE 3 - Reclaiming your mind
This is always an exciting indication of success together, when you reach the point of successfully eliminating your initial anxiety and panic response. You will notice a significant reduction in both the physical sensations as well as the mental reaction to the thought of your trigger. This will allow you to think about your phobia trigger and remain completely calm and indifferent like you would with any other thought.
It may seem hard to imagine as you read this but most people reach this stage by session 2 together and it will increase your confidence in yourself and trust in the process.
STAGE 5 - The Fine Tuning
Together with your therapist you will continue to measure your progress and polish of any areas or triggers that create any tension in your mind or body.
STAGE 2 - Retraining your mind
Throughout the online programme and In your first session with your therapist - You will be guided with key questions and techniques that will help you gain more insights, release anxiety and retrain your phobic response.
STAGE 4 - Gaining positive feedback from life
You will continue your day-to-day life as normal but you will notice that things are different. Your thoughts are calmer, your body feels more relaxed than usual. Friends and family begin to comment on how much more calm you appear. Things that once triggered you before don’t seem as intense.
At this stage you will notice all of the improvements - either you will feel completely free and confident or you will notice that whilst things feel better there is still some fine tuning to be done.
STAGE 6 - Proving to yourself that you are free!
This is the most empowering part of the programme, you will eventually have an experience in your day-to-day life that would’ve really scared you but instead you felt calm and in control. Most people describe this as “i was expecting to panic but nothing happened.”
